The Apple Records 33 RPM Albums Discography

Compiled by Serge Pelletier and Piers Hemmingsen, with help from Yvan Tessier and Fred Young who contributed to the MANY scans found in this section.

Serial Number Artist Title
SWBO 101 The Beatles The Beatles
Issued on November 25, 1968. Aka "The White Album". For a short time, «high» numbered sleeves were imported from the USA. 4 colour portrait photos, large poster, and un-numbered sleeve were all otherwise printed by Ever Reddy Printers, loose gatefold wrap. Early discs are RCA-pressed, plain white paper stock inner sleeves with round cut out centers to expose the Apple label. Discs are mastered in Canada. The mistakes found on song titles of the US records were already corrected on Canadian copies. Rocky Raccoon is mistakenly written ROCKY RACOON on all copies.
White Album Canadian LP
ST 3350 George Harrison Wonderwall Music
This album was pressed by Compo and was the first solo album issued by a Beatle. A cardboard insert with George's photo and song credits was included. The Ever Reddy sleeve exist with opening both on the left or on the right. When the opening is on the left, the back cover is right side up, while when the opening is on the right like regular albums, the back cover seens flipped upside down. The left opening probably reflects the original concept. Some collectors remember that music magazine articles at the time underlined the fact that this album was made "for left-handed people"(source: Fred Young). December 1968

The US copies had a wrapper that the LP slid into. In the USA, Capitol refused to distribute it due to the controversial cover, so Apple had to find another company. Tetragramaton was chosen.

Early Modern Graphics covers came with a sticker on the shrink wrap that listed the tracks and text stating «includes 160-page full-color» book -notethe US spelling of the «color» as opposed to the Canadian «colour» leading me to assume that these stickers may have been made in the USA !

Modern Graphics LP sleeves have a white border around the pictures on the back, other LP sleeves have no printer markings and do not have the white border around the pictures on the back of the LP sleeve, these sleeves housed a Compo-pressed disc. ST 11642 Percy "Thrills" Thrillington Thrillington
1977, Purple label first generation, Capitol pressing. Although this is not an Apple label, it is listed here because this is an instrumental version of the album RAM, done by Paul McCartney under the pseudonyme Percy "Thrills" Thrillington. The album was meant to be released shortly after the 1971 release of RAM, but due to the Wings project, it was delayed a few years.

Paul created a mystery buzz around the release of this album by inventing the fictitious socialite Percy Thrillington, and placing many add in the UK music papers announcing the arrival of this mysterious character. It was not known who this Percy Thrillington was, and was kept a secret until November of 1989, when he answered the question in a press conference. A CD version was issued in 1995, and was also released as part of the RAM box set in 2012. No subsequent vinyl pressing was made, in Canada or anywhere else.
